COMMENTARY:
This song is the first song on the album that my brother, Phil and I released called "Reckless Abandon" in 2004. We recorded the album in Colorado Springs on a small digital recording unit, thus the reason the quality of the album is not the greatest. Most people would never think that heavy metal and worship could be words that were interchangeable. Our hope in writing many of the songs on this album, including this song, was that the younger generation we were working with in Colorado Springs would be able to use them as an expression of worship that was more relevant to the style of music they were in to. Of course, my brother and I also grew up listening to heavy metal and enjoying that style of music. We wanted to draw that generation into God's presence with music that would be considered "darker" or "over the edge" by many people. This song is a song of complete surrender of ourselves to the will of God.
