I'll Find My Way

I'LL FIND MY WAY
Christian Jung
(c) 2002

B---C#m---A------B---C#m---A

VERSE 1
C#m--A--B---------------C#m--A--------B---------E---E/Eb
I don't want to let You down, I'm giving up control
C#m--A--B---------------C#m--A----------E
I can't make it on my own, I'm letting go

PRECHORUS
A-----------C-----------------------D
If I walk away from You, You run after me

CHORUS
E-------------B---------------------C#m---------------------A
I'll find my way through the darkest of nights with You by my side
E-------------------B-----------------C#m------------------------A
I'll ride out the storm, but the weather looks clear whenever You're near

VERSE 2
C#m--A--B-------------------------------C#m--A--------B----------------E--E/Eb
You have walked down this road before, You know what I go through
C#m--A--B------------------------C#m--A-----------E
You have never failed to help me, to rescue me

PRECHORUS
A-------------C-------------------D
If I put my trust in You, You won't forsake me

CHORUS

CHORUS/TAG
E----------------B------------------C#m------------F#---------------A
I think of the day when every tear is wiped away from my eyes
A----------------B-----------E-------------------------------------F#
It's then I'll finally realize how short this stay's really been
F#---------------------------------A-------------B--------------------E
And that through thick and thin You'll help me find my way
E--------B-------------------E--------------B---------------------E
You'll help me find my way, You'll help me find my way

COMMENTARY:

For much of this song I was doing the writing at Hillside Alliance Church, where I was one of the worship leaders for a few years. There are seasons that we go through, even as Christ-followers, that seem to be the darkest of nights. Yet with Christ by our side, He will guide us through those seasons. In fact, He is the Light that shines in the darkness. When we are hand in hand with our Savior, Jesus Christ, the darkness around us is forced to flee from us.
